My tire size is 225/60-16. I was thinking of getting Eagle ZR's but the ratings don't seem to be all that great in regards to wet weather handling but seem to be the tire of choice for dry road handling.

What do you guy's think??

Somewhere in the forum is some pics of my monte. I have 8.5 x 17 Helo rims and 255-45 Daytona ZR tires. One pic shows the tires pretty good. The car is also lowered 2". The pics might show you what the Daytona tires look like on a Monte. Sorry I don't know exactly where in the forum the pics are.

[8D] I just bought my 2000 ss with Firehawk wide ovals (new) They are 225-60's, VR rated and are "AA" dry traction, "A" wet....They(Wide Ovals) have a very aggressive tread pattern, very sporty..BUT, they have a "GASP" 320 treadwear rating!!! These tires won't last me very long!! I am not familiar with these Firestones, any thoughts on them? I didn't pay for them, so flame away!!lol

The Daytona's are much better than the factory. I don't know if it's the increase in size, or what. I'm starting to look at new tires, but I haven't found anything better than the Daytonas. And they are $125.00 each, which isn't a bad price for a z rated tire.

On my monte I have the hydroedge tire, the have a aggressive look and nice ride. they have been on the car for about 8 months, not real sure how many miles are on the tires. But when it's time to replace them, I'm going with a cheaper tire. I bought the car with them on it. They cost about 120 per tire! I found some z rated bfg's for about 85-95 per tire in a jegs catalog.
