Default Tire recommendations for my 03 SS

What’s a good replacement tire for a 03 SS? In this order I want all season traction, good handling and comfort. Am using factory 16 inch rims. And do I have any wiggle room to go a little wider than 225? My budget is $1200..

thanks..

I run 255 50 16's on my factory wheels. Hell for $1200 you can get some very nice tires and have enough left over to buy us all a burger and drinks. I only run Ultra-high contact performance summer tires, so no help for all season. BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp2's.. Not the best but good and sticky, gets me by.

Get the Michelin Defender. GREAT all around tire. Good handling, super quite, excellent in rain and amazingly long tread life.

that's the tire the guy at the tire store recommended .. I don't have that many miles on my car but I left it sitting so long at least one tire has a flat spot on it.. not bad but I know its there and I have real bad OCD when it comes to my cars..
