tire question
do you need an all season tires, summer tires, or a performance tire? i will be getting all season tires soon and i think i'm going to go with the yokohama avid trz's. they have a great deal on discounttiredirect.com on them right now. otherwise i've heard very good things about bf goodrich traction ta's and cooper cs4 tourings.
also, there was a recent thread that had good tire info on it here on the MCF. i would check that out also for tire suggestions

What wheels do you have? 16"?
I got rid of the stock GoodYear Integrity (which sucked) and replaced them with Continental ContiPro Contacts. I love the Continentals, super smooth, low noise, good handling, and long tread life.
The General Altimax HP is also an excellent choice. You can find them on Tirerack.com and they are a good tire, at a good price....
Look at www.tirerack.com and you can put in your car, and then look at tires available for your car. There are ratings and reviews of all the tires, great place!

I can vouch for the General Altimax HP tires. I have them on my wife's Mazda6 and those tires handle great. Hell, just today I decided to take a "45mph" on ramp in the rain at 70mph. No slip what-so-ever. The car just stuck to the ground.
