Tire Pressure Sensor resetting
Hi all,
Just signed up to this forum as it looks like a good place to discuses the Montes.
So I just picked up a 2001 Monte Carlo SS last night. It is in great shape only one owner previously.
Had the privilige to drive 1980 Black Monte Carlo (Dad's car) years ago so this is my return to a great car.
The only problem is the car did not come with the owners manual, some were along the line it was removed.
Bought the car from a Mazda dealership of all places. They obviously went around and did the safety and of course adjusted tire pressures were needed. What they did not know to check was the effect they had on the tire pressure monitoring system.
Drove it home last night and yes you guessed it the tire pressure warning light came on.
I've read a lot about why it would come on on this forum and also that I can reset it (after I verify the tire pressures) through the radio, and that this is detailed in the owners manual. As I said above I don't have the owners manual so could some one post which buttons I should press to get to the tire pressure sensor reset.
Next step is to get my hands on a manual. The manual may not be all that useful but for little things like this it sure can help.
Thanks in advance
