Bet there are many with the same issues and would be very interested in seeing this.
So here's a short take on it for the rest of you guys :
SUBJECT : Remote Keyless Entry & Remote Vehicle Start - inoperative, poor range.TPMS - service message. Replace/reprogram RCDLR, replace antenna and trasmitters. Dated 8/27/09
MODELS : 2006 - 2007 Monte Carlo & Impala and there is a few other GM models.
CAUSE : any of these may be caused by a internal fault with transmitters and or remote control door lock reveiver software/hardware.
So bummer no mention of a recall so we on our own with the expense unless you have a warranty...ugh
I had the same thing replaced on mine last April one week after purchasing the car. I only had a 30 day warrenty so I got it done right away. The invoice said it would have cost me $1000 CAD if I had to paid for it out of my pocket.
This should have been a recall.

Ya I still have the invoice, I was very suprised when I got it. I take it you didn't by this from a dealership, if you did and the warranty is up they still might honor it. Just to replace the remotes was almost $400.

Any chance I could snag a copy as well? I just bought a 2006 3LT and the remotes have horrible range as well as the dash showing the check tire pressure monitoring system message.

My email is (removed)

Like everyone else I had nothing but problems with my tire pressure sensors in my 06 so when I decided to switch to aftermarket wheels and tires I opted not to install any and just hit the display button once the car was started to ignore the message. But after 3 years today I see that the little exclamation point with the circle around it came on. Does anyone that has done away with tire pressure sensors have this same light, or was I just getting lucky for 3 plus years by not having it come up?

After reading the rest of this thread I'm wondering if the post on top of this one isn't the problem, I've been experiencing poor distance on my remote start/keyless entry for awhile now even though the batteries have been replaced several times.

I had a problem with the TPMS & Remote start when the car was one year old. Its 8 years old now.
(Replace/Reprogram RCDLR, Replace Antenna and Transmitters)
Mine was done under the original warrantee.
no need for a re-call, not a safety issue. But the reciver/transmitters and antenna were replaced under warrantee for anybody who had a problem.
Mine worked better, but still poor range.
Then, 4 years ago, I took apart the A-Pillar to install microphone for Bluetooth hands free, and found out they did a ****-poor job of installing the antenna.
I installed it way better and grounded the Shield on the coax. It definitely increased range on the remotes.
My remotes now are worn out, have to play with buttons to get them to work. I'm going to buy new remotes on e-bay, then pay my stealership to program the car to match the remotes.

I put the proper TPMS Sensors into my aftermarket wheels and they still work, but act up at times. Long trips, especially traveling beside steel guardrails, one or more quits reading and gives me that service TPMS message.
It clears next time I start the car. Original sensors are 8 years old and still work.

I did price out all the parts mentioned in the TSB, and it came to around $100 on ebay if I remember right. The dealer quoted me $800. Some day I'll have to take a gamble on ebay parts and see if I can get the range up, but it's not high on my priorities
