Default Some questions

I had a few questions about wheels set up... as in what all the numbers mean lol. 225/60/16 i beileve are the stock tires, and 16 x 7 rims. What do the first, second, and third set of numbers mean on a tire? Also, im intrested in a set of 18" rims, with low profile tires. What would the measurements be for that set of tire... im not really sure what width to get with rims, as i said im a little confused. Thanks in advance for the info, i just want to get familiar with this so i can decide down the road what to go with.

225/60/16... means.. 225MM across the tread, the height of the tire is 60% of the width, and the tire fits on a 16" rim.

I found the best way is to go to a website that sells aftermarket rims that SPECIFICALLY fit your car, choose a set of rims that suit you, and usually the website will BEST SUIT the tire for the size of the rim to best fit the factory wheel/tire diameter..

good luck!

hey thanks for the input, all those numbers are confusing. Now when choosing rims, are painted rims aluminum? my father keeps saying hes worried about rust... but i think he may be trying to deture me from getting black rims because hes into "chrome".
