How would someone know right away if the spring wasnt going to lower? You cant tell anything by looking at it. It was the height it should be, 1.5 lower than the stock one. And we are getting nowhere with the company. Matt used a different company and parts and they were alot more expensive than these. And the mechanic is an ase certified with almost 25 years experience and has lowered many cars among other custom work on show cars, track cars and regular cars. I have also consulted with several other professionals and hardcore car people to try to troubleshoot this. Who knows, she may be stuck like this till I bag her next year or we may just get another set of stock springs and cut them for the back just to get through till next year. I want this resolved so I can get my alignment and start working on my interior.

This is why I don't trust ebay lowering springs.
The coil springs for the 2000-07 Monte Carlo should be obvious enough to distinguish between front and rear; the fronts are a smaller diameter coil at both top and bottom and the rears are a smaller diameter coil only at the top. Lisa already mentioned they were installed correctly, and I believe it. I honestly think it would be hard to install the springs backwards. I just think these particular rear 'ebay' springs aren't designed correctly for the application.
Here's the difference in Canuck Motorsports' fronts (left) and rears (right) that I'm running.

We cut a full coil out of the stock springs. She gets alignment this week, and I need to get the roof rails on, then "project: interior" will be underway!
