Default Help in deciding where to buy struts

I'm at the point where my Monte feels like the S.S. Minnow than a car. At almost 70K the Monte just can go on like this. Was waiting to hit 75 before replacing anything. After much searching and headaches I found that I need the struts for 17", 18" wheels which is part number 339015 for fronts and 339148 for rears. I'm trying to buy most of the items from RockAuto which have more fair prices than some other online stores.

Now do I need special mounts that don't say 16" or should I just ignore that. Monroes are cheaper than KYB. I also plan on lowering the Monte with SSC springs from ZZP and replacing my brakes with Brakemotive parts. I know some members here dont like ebay stuff but some have had great success with them. Also painting the lower trim blue to match the rest of the car.

Is RockAuto a good place to buy most of this stuff? Ive heard of KYBOutlet but the have a 2 wk shipping est. I plan on doing this in 2 wks cause that's when I get my vacation time from work. I'll look at any store anyone might suggest.

Well everything is on order now. SSC springs, struts, mounts and brakes. I do plan on replacing my wheels to a silver 5 spoke wheel like fellow member ChibiBlackSheep to give it a sportier look.

Where did you buy and what exactly did you get? Does the stuff you ordered include the lowering springs? The next thing I was maybe planning on doing is exactly what you're doing now, that is, if you are also lowering it? Let me know if you get a chance, thanks.......

Well I ordered the KYB struts and Monroe mounts with camber bolts from RockAuto. Most online stores have about them at the same price but some stores are more reputable than others. Brakes from brakemotive from ebay and SSC lowering springs with washers from ZZP. Its a bit of money but I really haven't had to replace anything in this car since I got it in 06 except for the water pump.
I'm waiting to see if I need to buy the bottom spring insulator once I remove it. If I need I'll just get one from Autozone or O'reilly.

http://superiorsportchassis.com/prin..._app_guide.pdf have the same SSC Springs and list the same part number for 00-05 and 06-07. The Impala has a different part number which is weird. don't know why. Maybe some one here sure knows more than me.
