Default GXP Rotors?

Hey has anyone messed around with putting the Grand Prix GXP brake set ups on the 7th gen Montes? is it the same as the vette?

I'm going to be doing the brakes soon and being that the cars are so similar, i thought the stock GXP set up may bolt up.

any issues you have faced or ideas would be appreciated!

They would bolt right up, but honestly I don't think its worth the cost.

Isn't the 7th Gen Monte already a dual piston caliper? All you would be doing is going from a 12" rotor to a 13" rotor. And the GXP brakes are more expensive. I think you are fine unless you have larger rims / power adders that require the large brakes.

Thanks. Yeah i thought it might be cool to try and get the vette calipers on there with the 13" rotors. Glad to know the rotors are doable. any input on the calipers?

Honestly i hadnt even looked at the cost yet. i was thinking stock parts wouldnt kill the wallet too bad.

theyre pricey but not that much more expensive than a nice set of pads and rotors. personally i think theyre necessary and should have been on the car to begin with. the calipers on the gxp may also be aluminum but thats just speculation since i dont own one.
