7th Gen ('06-'07): GXP Brakes Direct Swap?
My brakes are in not good shape. I could try to repair/replace the existing calipers and just upgrade the front 12" rotors, 10.9" rear rotors, and all pads with something better. ZZP sells some nice upgrade kits to 12.7" front and 12" rear, which is basically the Grand Prix GX setup. ZZP won't confirm or deny fitment with my 2007 Monte Carlo SS, using 18" x 8" wheels with ~41 offset. Does anybody know if I just grab some calipers, rotors and pads from a 2007 Grand Prix GXP if these will work? Looks like the factory wheels on the 2007 GXP were identical to the wheels I'm running 18" x 8" with 40 offset.
If it's a direct swap, then I'd be game rather than going through ZZP and taking a chance that their setup is not the same (although my guess is it's the same). If I got stuff at my local auto place and it didn't look like it would fit, I'd just go return it rather than have to have stuff shipped back to ZZP.
Thoughts?
