2nd Gen ('73-'77): Finally got some rims for my monte, what is a good tire size that will fit?

If you want the same size tire all the way around then go with the 70 series. If you want a slightly larger tire in the rear and a slight rake go with 70 series up front and 60 series in the rear.

Just a quick comment, you guys realize the center number on the tire size osnt the width right? It is in reference to sidewall heighth. For example: my current 225/45/18s are taller than my old 225/40/18s

Yep, I'm aware of that. One of the common combination of tires was F70 on the front and G60 on the rear back in the 70s. A lot did it for looks (big rear tire/small front tire/slight rake) but I did it to reduce the weight of my car.
