I just got from Summit a set of American Racing outlaw series rims for my monte carlo. They are the same look as the centerlines and they where cheaper with free shipping. I got 15x 8's for the back and 15x 7's for the front. What is a good looking tire size to get for these that will fit on my car?

I would seriously consider using some BFGoodrich radial T/A's possibly some 70 series tires... That would set your Monte off in Great style IMO!

I did consider saying to use 60 series as well ... However in the 70's..70 series tires were what most EV1 used.... The 60 series looked best with 9 and 10 inch rims.. I think if he used them (60 series) on the smaller size 7 and 8 inch rims they would look more like a wide oval tire that has a flat. IMO...

Especially on a 2nd Generation Monte Carlo....

I'm not to sure a 60 series tire would even fit in the wheel well with out tearing up the side walls on the inner lip of the fender well.

That only also worked because the 1986 olds cutlass came with factory flared wheel wells..

However the 1973 Monte Carlo didn't...

2 totally different body styles...

If you're going after the 'retro' look of a larger tire in back and a slight rake in the stance 215/70R15 up front would be the same as the old F70-15 tires. The 235/60R15 would replace the old G60-15.

Ok thanks for all the quick responses! Yes im going for the retro look, and would like a little rake. So 70 series it is. So your saying a 215 70 R15 for the front, and a 235 70 R15 on the rear, right? Also I really would like those bf goodwrench radials but man they arent cheap. I looked for other white letter tires couldn't really find any.
