What's a good wheel n tire size?
I have my eye set on a set of torq thrust m wheels in anthracite.
I think 18in would be a nice improvement overstock, and not cross the line of being gaudy.
Id like a decient size lip on the front wheels, and a deeper lip on the rear wheels, so which offsets would you recommend?
I would also like to run wider tires, maybe 235 or 245.
What wheel width would be appropriate for that tire size?

I think 18 is a very nice size in proportion to the size of our cars. Other then that I can't help much but I'm sure another member will be able to tell ya more on what you are looking for

im 90% sure in order to have a "deeper" lip you need wider rims. and our cars are also front wheel drive. so wider tires in the back would look goofy! but hey its your car! . as for your question. you can run 235s on a 8in rim all day. and probably a 245 also but you could always go up to a 8.5

I run 18s with a 245/45/18.
You should look at the different sizes of tires and the prices and availability of each. Because you do start to get into specifics at these sizes. The price of tires alone (and they don't last long) may change your mind.
It's damn near hard for me to find any tires in my size with a decent treadwear rating.

I agree with chibi. make sure you know what your about to get into. tires are definitely not cheap. i spent 640$ and that was buy 3 tires get 1 free.. i could have gone a little cheaper on tire rack. but dont cheap out either. dont get cheap tires that wont even last 10k miles, and ride really rough
