Chevy sittin high
22s can and do look great. i dont mind big rims but like everyone said. if you need a lift thats just not good. the way i look at it. lets face it a LS monte is slow. if i want "preformance" ill ride my motorcycle.
I bet you have a good launch without wheelspin.
No kidding, lol. Big rims does not equal performance due to the rims heavier weight. Therefore, a Monte SS with a 3800 on stock rims will ALWAYS be faster then a Monte SS with a 3800 on 22's no question. Rotating mass is the thing that you want to get rid of the most on cars to give them better performance.
I see this is a old post but I need some help if anyone has done any research. I had 22's on my 01 SS last year and now I have a 06 and I want 24's. Does anyone know how high do I have to lift and what tire size should I use?

i have 22's on my ss and i'll put money on it that mine is just as fast as a similar car with the same ci engine size. anyway most people with big rims don't care about performance.
