Brakes Dragging
I have a question about our park avenue, but I was hoping to get some help here. I have a 2002 PA Ultra that I recently replaced the rear rotors and pads on. Probably a month before that I replaced the front ones. A few days after doing the rear the front brakes started dragging and then stuck completely in a 10 minute drive. If I compress the caliper piston on either side in the front the brakes work until I brake enough to completely extend the pistons and they stick again. I don't see any leaking from the master cylinder or the lines. Hopefully the brake systems are similar enough to a monte (seems like almost everything else is) that y'all might have an idea. Thanks!
Could be stuck calipers. Another fairly common culprit is the brake hose that goes to the caliper, they degrade on the inside and can trap fluid or not let fluid pass properly.
I just replaced the brake hoses and bled them, but it's still doing the same thing
I'd look into getting a replacement caliper, and if the issue persists, return the caliper and proceed from there. I had sticking brakes on my truck, one of the brakes was due to an old brake hose, the other was a faulty caliper. Hopefully it's not the master cylinder, but if it is, I'd just hope the brake lines aren't rusted.
