6th Gen ('00-'05): Brake Upgrades
#11
That is the ticket what Z Jerry did, upgrade to the 2000-2002 Camaro front brake calipers. I have done the same, much better braking when you really need it. They are all over at the junk yards, Firebird , Camaro calipers, bet you can get them for $25 a pair. The rear rotors we have are the biggest set we have available, think the Pontiac GP guys put our Monte rear calipers / rotors on their cars. As far as rotors go, hit eBay up for some drilled / slotted, they can be had for cheap. See the link below, I would buy new rotors all the way around, get the F-body front calipers, buy some good brake pads for them and also some new pads for the OEM Monte Carlo rear calipers.
See this link, these will be plenty fine and for a super price too...
Front Rear 4 Performance Drilled Slotted Brake Rotors and 8 Ceramic Pads M040537 | eBay

Hey thanks guys. Sorry I did not see and reply to the messages in March l67ss, Jerry, and Greg! Thanks for the Info.
As for the color, I still have the stock calipers. I painted them Electric Blue but I think I am going to try Hugger Orange or SS Red when I install the Camaro calipers.

You need the F-body bracket for the f-body calipers..
You have to drill the F-body Bracket because the W-body uses a bigger bolt then the F-body..LOL
I used my stock rotors you can use stock brake lines all you need to do is bend the brake line bracket to give the line slack.
you need for drill/tap and parts you need to get for the swap. the pic is of a F-body bracket.
I installed 2002 Camaro calipers on my Monte sunday 12/30/2012
Love the looks an the stopping power , Its not hard to do, nice mod..
