Default Big Brake Upgrades

Does anybody know of any brake manufactures that have big brake upgrade kits for the 2000 to 2005 Monte Carlo... ???

I have found a Baer system that is complete front and back, but that is all i have found that come with rotors, calipers, and pads...

Also what brake system parts have you all had experience with???

I am contemplating using rotors only rather than a full upgrade.... I would prefer cross drilled and slotted... but i would like to know your experiences from what you have used...

Thanks in advance for your reply's...

I use the larger calipers from the F-body Camaro on my 02 Monte's front brakes. They bolt right up with no mods required. Use Wagner brake pads

You can get the Grand Prix GXP 13" calipers and rotors also.

Is there a certain year range from the Camaro that I should look for? What size rotors did they run? Did your stock calipers fit up with the larger rotors or did you have to upgrade those?

98-02 camaro/firebird 97-04 C5 vette. you can use rotors off the camaro/firebird or monte/impala. need longer brake lines or your stock line will work too just need to bend the brake line brackets.

The F-Body conversion just gives you a lighter weight caliper that isn't a single piston, same size rotor.

Are you looking for a big brake upgrade just for the looks in your rims? Because overall prices aren't worth it for looks. But if you NEED the stopping power, any of these suggestions will be better than stock. You can also firm up your brake pedal with SS lines.

Thanks guys...

I am really just looking for good appearance and also am looking for a bit of added stopping power...

I found a set of Stoptech rotors on pfyc.com and they look pretty, i think those should work as a direct replacement if I understand it correctly... that way i would use my stock rotors...

You should read this thread. Very good thread with a lot of good information. Plus he is planning to use CTS-V Calipers and 14" rotors I believe. The last time I checked the details.
