My aftermarket 18x8's I believe is 35mm and I believe I was rubbing in the front. Do I need spacers? If so, what size? Thanks!

Anyone?

Any 18x8 tire for a 2006 Monte SS that I find (on tirerack) seems to run an offset of +40 or more, so I would think if you need a spacer you would have to try to get that offest

So with that math, I'd probably need a 5 mm spacer? huh?

Wow...didn't know this thread was still alive.

I just installed my new wheels & tires last week. I went with 18x9" American Racing Torq Thrust M black wheels with a 34mm offset. The tires are Goodyear Eagle F1's in 255/45/18. They fit very well, no rubbing.

Ted, I guess you could do the 5mm spacer, or do you know the tire size you ran? If you ran the 50 height, maybe the 45 like he did would work without rubbing?

Yeah, I'm on stock 235/50/18 tires on the 8 inch wheel.

perhaps going to the 45 would solve your rubbing issues then (if you don't want to run a spacer)

I would, but getting 4 new tires isn't an option.
