just some helpful suggestion, did you air down the tires? do a light burn out to dust off the tires? what year is the 16" rust stain rims reason i ask is cuz they are usually heavy wheels and not good to use for track. my suggestion is to use the 97-03 gtpee wheels cuz they are very light. i wouldn't do 17" bullitt, you know how heavy one wheel weigh? like 30 lbs plus tires. im assuming you already upgrade your input shaft cuz stock input shaft and slick tires does not play friendly.

the tires were at 18psi, i did a nice burnout so the tires were warm and sticky for sure. i know there heavy wheels but im hoping more weight up front the better (i know its hell on the trans thou) and yes the trans is built. 300m input shaft, hardened pump shaft, z pac, valve body upgrades, hardened 4th gear, 7/8 chain and gears, shift kit, hd diff, ati 3500 stall, gmr channel plate sleeve. i also have a gmr 1" 7/16" pitch chain and 3.52 gear set and meziere flex plate waiting to be installed soon and i am on the hunt for a torsen diff. will be getting stage 2 axles as well.

im also planning on a whole turbo upgrade as well

oh hell you have a nice setup way more stuff than mine. you should be running low 12's or high 11's with good tires and light rims that is. i was running 15 psi with slicks. one thing i was having problem was my rear end was squatting when launching if i have spring blockers that probably help out little bit i didn't notice it until after i saw the videos lol.

Do the cable mod hahaha

Also, burning out on street tires that aren't meant to be heated up won't gain you much grip. Sometimes it can even hurt, depending on the tire and compound. Just a quick few spins to clean off the dirt are about the best.

Slicks are another story lol.

Cable mod it to sketchy for me, I'm sure it works but if it should fail that makes for a really bad day.

I just picked up my Hoosiers today and I'll be running 4 spring blockers per side to keep from squatting. I need to lean out the fuel as I'm really rich and then I'll be headed to the track this Saturday in search of 12's
