I dont think a 2 valve 4.6L Mustang would be neck and neck with a Camaro SS. This goes for the older Mustang Vs. older Camaro, and New Mustang Vs. New Camaro. The Camaro will win.

A supercharged 4.6L DOHC Mustang would probably take an older Camaro SS, and be about neck and neck with the new Camaro SS.

My dad has an 02 Mustang GT 5 Speed, with mods. Probably about 300HP at the crank. There is no way in hell he could beat a Dodge Charger SRT8, or RT.

supercharged or not, i still think your car would just keep pace with an older camaro SS. Stock for stock, the camaro ss puts out almost 90 more crank horsepower. unless your driving an 03-04 cobra, your not winning.

the mustang should be quite a bit lighter then the camaro and once it has a blower on it it should go even if its the 2v. and even in stock trim its only 90 crank horse he has to make up. i would hope that the blower is giving him 40% hp gain. a blown 2v should definitely be able to beat a stock ls1 camaro. i have yet to see a new camaro run the kinds of times i think they are capable of. i feel that car in stock trim should be deep in the 12s with a serious driver.

um i have a 2v mustang fully built before i did that i walked the ss comaro the new one and the older one as well. after winning i noticed i rounded a bearing a really anoing knock on the bottom of the block now that motor is sitting in a mercury cugar the 94 model my dads it needed an upgrade from the v6 it had in it. now i have a fully built 2 valve with blower. in the mustang and even people with the comaros that i have stoped next to they said youll eat my camaro alive. i have blown doors off of comaros already now i am into looks and show with it and my monty as well looks and show

like i said ive never seen a new camaro run the times i think its capable of. but i think it highly unlikely a 2v with just a blower and nothing else would walk it, but even if it did its a blown v8 with a huge weight advantage vs a na v8. and on the street the faster car doesnt always win.

the 2valve 4.6 that i have in my mustang is built fully and just needs to be retuned for the biger injectors and the blower that i put on its my project. that i like and so is my monty that i have i like them both. the 2v 4.6 v8 that i have out ran the 2010 comaro ss already before the major build that i am doing. its all what the person allready did to there cars from the begining like gears headers intake exaughst. thats what i did before the mad hp rebuild. that i am doing all i need is a tune for it at a dyno shop that i need to find here in lakeland fl. which is known as the bay area the closest dyno shop so far i seen is in tampa and the tow there will be more than getting it tuned and will be out of money before i get the car there. 1500. for tow 400 for tune all together is 1900. i need to find a dyno shop closer

i was thinking about it but i am just doing my prioritys first like paying off my monty and finding a beatter job. so i can pay it off quicker so i can work on both and not just one at a time. all that i want to do to my monty is better looking rims and tires cold air intake from cold air inductions and get the exaughst that i really want to put on my monty. as well as a really good tune for my mustang and my monty.
