At least GM started in the right direction when they dropped the L36 into the 98 Z34.

everybody have their own opinion when it come to appearance look on their cars. as the matter of fact when i see a monte on the street that look rice out. i want to tell them how f*ck up his/her car looks, but i think i keep to myself cause that would probably get me in trouble.

most members here saw my car in the pass thread and see some different add on i like to do to my car. some like the stock look. other like me would say, screw this i'm going to be little radical!! yeah i have C5 calipers with the "corvette" letters engraved on, mustang wheels, colbalt trunk ss badges, and of course grand prix roof rails. alot of people probably thought it's stupid for putting something that does not belong on the monte. you know what, i don't really care what everyone think of it. i'm doing this for me.
You deserve a hand clap sir

Ok ok ok ok ok. Y'all took what I said, and blew it WAY out of proportion.

I know that the number I put are at the crank. The Camaro weighs more than the Monte, is RWD, and unless strapped to a 6-speed manual...stock for stock the Monte will eat it everytime. Why? Because a stock V8 Monte Carlo's FWHP is around 285, and I've seen that number on a dyno. Take the Camaro being RWD and you have a lot more loss of HP at the wheels. I couldn't find a dyno read of the V6's HP though, so I don't know how close it is.

Now, moving on to Monte Carlo's. I personally don't care what you do with your car. I share your attitude. I'm driving the damn thing, so if you don't like, get over it. If you do like it, thank you very much. The only reason why I said ANYTHING about certain badges about being on cars is this: If your car is wearing a badge that means you should have a cerain something, but don't...please don't wear the badge... Like 06-07 LT's wearing an SS badge but don't have the body kit or engine to back it up. That confuses the general public and makes the real SS's not respected for their rarity. 00-04 cars wearing an SS badge though...nothing really set them apart, so do what you do.

Does everybody get what I'm trying to say? I'm not trying to **** anybody off at all. I personally respect and love all of your cars, because they reflect your individuality and that is awesome, and I'm glad you're proud to own/drive it.

WRATH and FURY!!!!!!!!!

It's all good, we just like to argue here, but nothing is getting bad don't worry. We don't hate you because of the stuff you said :P

We take everything with a grain of salt and will back up our cars until the death. That's the beauty of having a forum where everyone is so passionate about their vehicles.

I agree with what your saying for the most part. putting the newer ss badging on a car that doesnt have the ls4 gives the ss a bad rep, but that could also be a good thing. some ppl may be under the wrong impression till they take a beating from a v8 monte. on the camaro monte thing the camaro weighs a hell of alot more then the monte and i believe the monte with a good drive would beat the v6 camaro down. not the v8 though. now the ls1 camaro with a average driver vs a ls4 monte with a good driver the monte should still lose but it would be close. this is an old video but i like it.

Dont forget the early Novas. My brother had a 63 SS, but it was a I6. I know for a fact in the Novas it was just an appearance package that later grew into its own.

All my cars had vinyl for almost 30 years. Nothing to be ashamed of. Even this damn LTZ has leather seats but vinyl doors.
