15.9-16.5 depending on how healthy the car is.

 

back when new it would run low to mid 15's but if still stock with high miles you probley looking in the 16-17's
but new with the exhaust uncorked and a little tweek and it would liven up quick

 

how am i to look at the "chart"
i hear mid 13 to mid 14 range for the 06/07 monte ss with the 303hp v8

 

there is only 1 way to truly find out...

 

My estimate was on the 83-88 Montes.

 

Looking back at that chart I wonder what kind of transmission they are using?????

It really doesn't look to acurate is what I'm getting at.

Keegan's running 335 hp or so but his 1/4 is like 13.7 which according to the chart his car would have to be in excess of 4000 lbs.

 

his quarter isn't indicative of what the car can really do though.

I checked 12.5, and for 3600lbs, it shows 364, which is about right. I did have a sub 1.8 60' though. :-)

 

I was thinking more on this and it might be relevant to note where he is living as well.

In WI we get better 1/4 mile times than those that live in FL and AZ just do to the colder air we experience.

So, while we get more of the 14.9 times in WI that same car might only get 15.3 in the south.

 

elevation is another factor to consider.... higher elevation = less oxygen density.... just like you run out of breath when you are in the mountains... so does your car-car. :-)
