how fast is a stock 1987 MC SS, 305 h.o, 4 speed auto, 3.73 in the 1/4? i dont have any plans on running it, just curious

 

You would probably run high 14s or low-mid 15s.

 

Here is a chart that shows a weight to time ratio and what your horsepower would be... fi you know the horsepower this should give you a good idea.

My stock 305 SS ran very high 15's. That was with the exact setup as you have, except I had Weld Prostar's on mine.

Thanks, man. That was my first car. Got it when I first turned 16, and had to sell it due to tickets... lol Like 65k original miles. I sure do miss the old girl.

 

hopefully i keep my monte for a while, i love it. id like to do a similar paint job on mine as u had, but i want the silver i have with a lighter silver for the stripes, or possibly black

 

I'm a big fan of silver and black... I plan on putting silver stripes on my black 2000 so I'd have the inverse of that one. Here's what I built after i sold that '87 SS. The only difference in the paintjobs was the roof stripes. Same code silver and same code black on both cars, painted by the same guy (actually it was a girl who painted them... lol)
