Default '99 Z34 vs. '13 mustang

So I'm not one to condone street racing by any means; yes we all do it and it's fun, but It's still dangerous. Anyway I'm crushing in my Z34 on the way to the bank today and between the lights this brand new v6 mustang tries to show me up. Now keep in mind I only have a K&N filter, and upgraded ignition (packs & wires) and the previous owner replaced the exhaust system with some bull**** wrinkle bent tubing and put premium touring tires on it too. So anyways I wasn't expecting a race so he had me off the line but then I put my foot to the floor and dragged his a**. Needless to say I was happy with my monte today and it put a smile on my face.

I'm glad that you had fun, but sadly I don't know if the other guy was racing. Don't get me wrong, he could have been driving a stick and not known how to shift, or maybe you only got it up ton 35-45mph. 3800s have great low end torque but slow down in their top end.

Those v6 Mustangs are serious. 2011-present v6 Mustangs can run low 14s pretty easily. Thinking about it though, do you know for sure it was a 2013? They changed the Mustang's body to that style in 2010 but kept the 4.0 v6 in it. I could see you winning that race, but it would be close if he could drive.

Anyways, any mods coming in the future?

Nah he was racing and he had an automatic for sure. By the time I slowed down for the next light I was doing 65-70. As for the exact year, I'm not sure. It looked like the 2013 body style and it looked brand new so it coulda been a well kept 2010 but the guy looked like he was the type to buy a new vehicle every couple of years. Either way I beat a mustang and at the end of the day that's all that matters .
Future mods:
next mod is probably aluminum dogbones with poly bushings to go with my poly motor mounts
hopefully soon I can get the money to completely redo the entire exhaust system
A 68mm throttle body is in the near future
I'm currently in the middle of doing some body work on my spoiler
And I NEED sport performance tires
