Cadillac Escalade 6.0L V8...Highway race, both of us punched it at about 70, I was behnd him when we punched it, and I was able to pass him, and gain a car length, then hit my speed limiter at 107MPH...
Toyota Solara SLE V6 3.0L
99-04 body style 3.8L V6 Mustang, I've beat more than one that had automatics...not sure what a 5speed V6 can do next to my car, but my guess is I could still take them.
99 Buick Regal GS Superchared...Off the line I had it by 1-1.5 car length, around 65-70 the Regal pulled passed me and kept about a half car length lead till we let up at about 80MPH.
Chevy 1500 full size pickup 5.3L, 4 car lengths.....
About half a dozen Civics of different types/ engines all taken by my Monte.
Ford Focus SVT 5speed... Monte took it by about 2 car lengths.
My moms 2000 Pontiac Bonneville 3.8L N/A... Monte takes it by 3 car lengths
Ford F-250 Diesel 7.3L...Monte took it by 4 car lengths...and he had programer, intake, and exhaust on it too.
Dodge Ram (not sure which engine), and Ford F-150, all three of us raced off of a light two times in a row, I beat both of them, both times we raced...I only beat the dodge by about 1 car length off the line, the Ford was in my rear view mirror...LOL. I know they were both V8's because both had exhaust.
Toyota Celica GTS...I took him by at least 2 car lengths.
Ford Explorer 4.0L...in my rear view mirror...I think I could take the V8 Explorers too.
And the Finalie of all my races...the company Hyundai Accent 5 Speed...LMAO! Yea, my co-worker and I were screwin off, but the Monte owns this hunk of crap by about 10 car lengths...LOL!
I've never had the chance to race a Newer Mustang V6, or a 3.5L Charger...

Definetly the 99-04 v6 mustangs, took a few of em. Dont know bout the 5 speed ones tho. Non v-tech hondas. Havent really raced anything else. I was actually suprised to find out that the 05+ v6 mustangs have the same horsepower as the 3.5 montes. Havent raced one tho, would love to.

i've taken a couple 3.5 chargers in the past few months along with a saturn aura 3.6 and a ford taurus SHO which is the V8 taurus. just tell your brother the 3.5L will take plenty of other cars, but there's always someone faster out there. imo when i look back on it, i should have saved up a little more $$ and got an SS instead. the only reason i didn't was because gas was over $4/gallon at the time...

I hear ya drewskie. When i bought my car they had a red SS and my LT. I opted for the LT because gas was $4 a gallon. All well, im happy as he** with my monte.
Very true on the always something faster. If i wanted to go fast well i wouldnt have bought a v6. But its a good feeling when your next to some kid and you KNOW you can take em lol.

Yea, my Monte walks cricles on the Bonnevilles 3800.....The only place the Bonneville would beat m is if we were sie by side on the highway doing 80+ MPH, and we both punched it....My car only grabs 2nd up to 80MPH...the Bonneville will grab second till about 87-88MPH...
The 3.8L in the Bonneville makes 205HP and 225 FT-LB....
My 3.5L Monte makes 211HP (plus whatev my exhaust and induction gave it) and 214 FT-LB...
The 3.8L and 3.5L are basically the same power output wise...but my 3.5L revs faster than the Bonnie's 3.8L...Trannies are the same, but mine shifts out of 1st at 58MPH, the Bonnie shifts ut of 1st at 50MPH...Plus my Monte weighs around 3,500LBS, the Bonnie is somewhere around 3,700LBS.
As far as the supercharded Regal, I only took it off the line, but not by much (1 car length, maybe a tiny more) as soon as my car shifted out of 1st gear, the Regal pulled on me, and gained half a car length on me, if we would not have let off, the Regal wold have continued to pull, ut slowly, because my car com to life at 4,000RPM really well...I really don't know why my car took the Regal off the line, all I can think of is that are'nt the superchared trannies gear slightly taller? Plus I think it heps that my 3.5L shifts at 6,300 RPM, and the 3.8L shifts at 5,800 RPM...

I knew you were being sarcastic :P Just thought i'd clear the air for anyone who wondered...LOL!
I can't play favorites, because we have both engines in my family! But it is nice knowing that my car is faster than mom's! Just wish I had the V8 SS so I could give my dad's Sh*tstang a run for its money...LOL...Although we have raced just for the heck of it, and my dad was pretty shocked that he could only take me by like 4 car lenghts off the line, and he has about 90HP over me... I told him, just think of what i could do with the 5.3L CHEVY! He just grinned and said yea yea...haha.
