Turbo monte part out
#12
WOW, end of an era people. Kind of sad TurboMonte is gone. That Monte would just chew up anything that got in its way. Hats of to you there John and your herculean efforts building the sickest most powerful 6th Gen. Monte SS ever! Don't know that anyone else who comes along will have it in them to do what you did bro. A lot of personal efforts and sacrifices trying to get where you went. Trial and error, then victories a many.
Awesome to see so many of your parts are being re-purposed and live yet again in other hopefully somewhat worthy builds. Who has been buying most of them GP owners?
You have a short list, just sad to see your Monte die. Yet you being the sic SOB you are have a whole stable of other fantastic cars that are still giving you the thrill and danger of the road. Best of luck to you our friend! Give them hell...

Thanks zippy, most parts went to gp people. It just doesn't seem like barely anyone with a monte has interest in modding.
Update anyway, almost everything is gone including the car body and frame itself. Basically all that I have left is the turbo kit, the electric water pump, the flex plate, and other little odds and ends.
The partout went very well and quick. I hope to have the new toy that will be taking turbo montes spot in a couple months

It's good the hear the part out has been successful. I am a spectator to this and it seems very weird to me, I cannot imagine how you feel.
But at least this part out is to fuel another good chapter in your life with cars.

It's sad but a relief at the same time. I will not be getting another Monte but I will be getting another wicked ride to replace the empty spot in me and also the empty spot in the garage lol.
The new owner of the body plans to remove the hood and flames. He wants to keep the body kit and plans to do a s1x high compression SC build on it.
These are the very last pics I have of the car. That is me with the new owner.
Air ride is sold. All that's left is the turbo stuff, flex plate, water pump, tinted tails, wheels.
