METHANOL INJECTION




By injecting a fine mist of methanol and water (e.g. washer fluid), the evaporation significantly reduces intake temps and more importantly charge temps and EGTs (exhaust gas temperature) are dramatically reduced. This results in more power and a significant safety buffer. When using methanol the octane level is increased as methanol is researched to be as high as 118 octane. Cartuning methanol water injection systems are specifically designed to be used with our turbo kits. They are shipped pre-set with full installation instructions allowing you to easily follow step by step details to get your system up and running. Typical results for those looking for more power with this system are quite impressive. We can see an average of 2 – 5 psi more boost without engine ping or knock on the same octane resulting in more power and performance on pump fuel.
