1999 L67 block
i was told by the junk yard that the engine didnt "run right" so it was sold to me as a core. everything has checked out on the top end, which i am using.
i can only assume that the block had some bad knock or an F'd up lifter. the pistons look just fine and the rotating assembly moves freely and there isnt any sign of issue, however....
it is being sold AS IS which is why it is cheap. only has the water pump and flex plate attached. no heads, intakes, or supercharger included, just the block (with the internals of the block, ie pistons, rod, crank, cam, etc...).
this block would be perfect for someone to rebuild with high performance parts and is priced right!

please make sure to read the description. i make no implied statements that it is a working block. it LOOKS good and is SOUNDS good when i rotate it by hand, but there is a reason why the junkyard said it was a core engine, i have yet to find the problem, which is why i BELIEVE it could have been a bad lifter or multiple lifters.
so the price is right considering the unknowns of this engine. if i were to do it, i would replace the bearings and get new rods and pistons. i am sure the crank is fine.
i would also put in a new cam. and so for about $1000 you could have yourself a very nice short block engine without ever having to pull your engine to do all the work.

bump
i still have the block
after messing with it more, i still believe the problem with the car was not the block/bottom end. i bet it was more electrical, sensor, or fuel delivery as to why the owner junked it at the yard.
again, block looks fine, rotates fine, no odd clunks from hand turning it.
