There is a stripe/decal adhesive remover sold at paint stores and maybe autoparts stores. For sure I would think that paint thinner would take it off. Have you tried that?
Here is an article on EHOW suggesting goo b gone and a link to another product. Good Luck.

Try finger nail polish remover on a rag use little and keep on glass only..

WD40 may work or you could try rubbing alcohol but like zJerry said be careful to only get it on the window.

I have the fix for you...Many windsheild replacement shops use a product called:

**** HI-SOL **** (its in a red, white, black labeled can) with a pour spout for ease of use.

I have some of this solvent...It cuts any adhesive...without damageing anything...and it also evaporates cleanly...

I recommend getting this product for your problem..(from your local autoparts) Use any kind of shop rag...saturate it and wipe down all the windows with it to break it down....any residual glue thats left over....use a razor blade to scrape it off....Then I recommend getting a good glass cleaner..like WINDEX...saturate the glass and use newspaper to wipe and clean the windows throughly!....(newspaper works excellent!) old school invention...lol

I Guarantee you will no longer have any trouble with tinting your windows!

HI-SOL works!
