What High Beam Bulb (9006) do you prefer????
Hey everyone. I just wanted to start a straight forward thread on bulb preference. I have been looking for an hour and would just rather have a straight forward answer. Here it is...
I have 8000k HID lows, ordering 8000k HID fogs, and had 8000k HID highs, but realize it is very useless with the amount of time it takes them to warm up. I def need better bulbs than stock for my highs though because I do a lot of thruway driving at night so I need to see them deer. I just want your opinions on the best 9006 bulbs for my use. I am torn between the Silverstar Ultras or the Nighthawks, but both seem to have poor reviews based on life. I guess that wouldnt be a huge problem seeing as they are only highs so wont be used a lot except for DRLs... So lets here your opinions/experiences. Thanks a lot!

They don't have the yellowing of the stock bulbs, and they do project further.
I run them, and they aren't bad. I also have the blacked headlights that kill output.
I think the Ultras project a little further, but look the same. But again the life isn't that great (maybe ~1 year) and the ultras aren't cheap. I got the regular silverstars for about $20 (for the pair)

hmmm, sounds like those may be the ones. I mean its just highs, so I just want better than stock. I rarely use them really. I wait another day or so and see what other people say, but it sounds like you pretty much made up my mind. I appreciate the response! Any info on LEDs? Like interior and turn signals? I currently have the IPCW LED tails but was thinking about LED turn signals until I heard about having to run a resistor, Im too lazy for that. Any input? Also, have you or know anyone that has swapped the interior lights to LEDs like Dome light, glove box, courtesy lights... Just curious if its worth the $30 or not. I did have my dash lights swapped to LEDs by BBengineers, looks great, Now I gotta get the window/lock controls, steering wheel controls, and heated seat controls done.

I have LED map lights, Dome lights, courtesy lights. Red in the map and floor, and a 36 LED Dome light. Under the How-To section, I have a thread or 2 on the subject.
The Dome light was completely worth it, the others, not so much. At least not in red. If you wanted to do white, it would be worth it I think. But not a color.
LED Turn signals aren't needed, if you want to kill the orange, they make a "stealth" bulb, that is silver when off, and still blinks orange to keep it legal.
