Angry tail light bolt broke

ok i dont know how it happened it ended up breaking when i was taking it off it is the top stud that broke. i dont get it i was changing two of the bulbs that burned out. i noticed the top of the other one doing a wiggle like it is lose and i am afraid to look i am going to just up grade to anouther set. is there anouther type than stock wich are expencive

sad news is i didnt want to upgrade my tail lights yet but the ones i found the led type is cheaper than stock. the stock ones 285.65 a peace the led type 318.75 for a pair i just hope that the originals will last till the end of next month

Get some stock used ones off of ebay.

I'd try some JB Weld to patch it together until you are ready to replace them.

It did me good on a door panel.

I would try JB Weld or silicone or some adhesive if you want to fix what you have now, could get you by anyways.
I had a cracked lens, and looked into just replacing one, of course from chevy it was absolutely ridiculous. I personally found it had more value to me personally to just upgrade them to led which look better anyways in my opinion, for a cheaper price, unless you can find a set of stock ones really cheap.

since it's plastic i'd use some epoxy to bond it back together.

had to do that on the side mirror for the Alero.

Before dropping big money on this, I'd do as suggested earlier, JB Weld or a GOOD 2-part plastic epoxy! I've had great luck with both products in situations I thought they would fail.

i had it in the body shop last year i didnt notice that they used already apoxy to cover there fuge up. i should have looked at them when i got it back from the body shop. i have to get in contact with my insurance about it that they broke them and tryed to cover them up

why not just tap the plastic and use a proper sized bolt? or just a right diameter screw with some washers on in the inside of the trunk?
