Default Sunroof Sticking

Hey guys, I had the sunroof replaced about 3 weeks ago. It was used sunroof but it worked properly. I am having an issue where when you tell it to open, it will open upwards like it should, then when you hit it again to go back it only moves about 2-3 inches. Motor is fine and track is fine as well! I invested a slight bit and wondered if the tracks on the inside were supposed to look like this or if it is build up and blockage stopping the sunroof from going completely back.

Far it Opens:

Track Condition:

As you can see it looks like it has some build up. Opinions or fixes anyone?

Your time is greatly appreciated, thank you!
Cody

Well mine doesn't really open all the way at all, did it once then started only doing it a couple inches. But hey it closes and seals and keeps water out which is biggest thing for me.

I think I would start by cleaning and lubing the tracks. No offense, but those things are filthy! Getting all the dirt out of there and some fresh lube may be all it needs.

I would try to use wd40 to clean those tracks out but don't get it on your headliner. Use white lithium grease once it is clean to lube the tracks

None taken, I feel kind of stupid for not thinking to clean them out but I figured when i purchased it would be sent to me in good working order!

Alright will do! I have a can of W-40 already, will need to go buy a very firm toothbrush and clean that out. Is white lithium grease something that I can find at say oreilleys or Autozone? or will it need to be purchased online?

Oreilys has the grease you need. It comes.also in an aerosol can with a directional tube to spray/lube with accuracy
