Okay, this is probably a really stupid question but something I noticed a couple days ago.

On the back of the trunk where it says "Monte Carlo" and then "SS" (for those that apply) it has the MC part on the left side and the SS on the right. I have ONLY seen it that way in any pictures, EXCEPT for my car. The SS is right after the Monte Carlo on the left. Could this have just been the previous owner who moved it, or has anyone else ever noticed them both being on the left.

FYI, I warned you at the top that it was kind of a stupid observation, but it got me wondering if my car was the only one like this. I even looked at the stock photos from Chevrolet and the SS is on the right. I posted a picture of my car so you could see what I mean.

I removed my trunk SS emblem. lol

 

I think it was moved. The alignments are weird, someone had to do that manually. Chevy would never vertically center (although your vertically center looks a little low) something against another word :P They would align from the top, or the bottom.

 

yeah it was most probably moved by the previous owner. i removed the monte carlo lettering completly and the silly gm badges on the sides.

 

I just looked at a pic of an 06 SS and its been definitely moved.

 

Are the GM badges on the side and the SS on the back all held on with just double-sided tape? If I were to move/remove any of these, do I need to purchase more tape to hold them on?

 

yeah its double sided tape. i used dental floss to take them off and i used goo gone to take off any sticky stuff left behind. you could use 3m double sided to put them on.
