Default Some mods to come. Need input.

I just received my spray can from ebay to paint the bottom trim blue to match the rest of the car but now I am having some second thoughts. I saw what fellow member 77gp did with his grandma (I think) black ltz in painting the bottom trim and totally changing the car. I do want to go with silver rims later so I'm thinking doing a silver/blue scheme for now.

These are my plans now:
-Silver MC windshield banner which is on order
-paint bottom trim silver
-pin strip
-I just painted the front bowtie from blue to silver to make it stand out
-paint side mirrors blue
-paint eye lids on headlights
-*later* silver rally striped

Sport Edition KV5 Silver Painted
These are the rims I badly want but they dont make then in 18" anymore. I'm thinking 20"s or 18"s very similar to these.

I just feel my car badly needs a make over. I'm getting tired of seeing it so plain now.

One more thing. My calipers are painted with standard Pepboys blue caliper paint kit and of course doesn't match the car. Will the paint I bought stick to calipers or do I need some high temp caliper paint.

Everything you said sounds good to me, except the pinstripes. I dont like them on anything but old street rods but thats just me. And Yes you need high temp paint for the calipers and I'd say go silver like the trim. Also i like the rims you have know.

I like your blue/silver ideas I agree with Lougreen silver on the calipers and yes you need the caliper paint. I like pinstripes on a monte following the indentation on the fenders (I assume you will do those silver as well). Good luck man post pics when your done

The mirrors??? I Dono I'd leave em black

Blue and silver would look like the 2003 Pace Car. Would look great!

You should try the G2 Brake Caliper Kit.

I decided just to do what I outlined. The pin striped will be silver and go over the fender. I'll try to do it next weekend to do it all together instead of doing them in steps. I'll for sure do pics while in process. I'll also paint the calipers silver. Not exactly what I imagined but any new look will be an improvement over the blue. Maybe put some colored lettering over the calipers?

Im kinda partial to the blue & silver look & on the calipers u can do em with regular paint if u have a high temp primer under them, thats how mine have been for a year now & no issues
