just a fair warning on those silverstar ultra, they are only rated for 100 hours, where as the stock ones are rated for 320 hours. you pay three times as much for those for a third of the life =P

 

yeah they might go in under a year.

Next replacement go for the regular silverstars. Still look and work great but last longer

 

really? ah that blows.. why is that?? should i consider returning them..?

Some people have better luck with how long they last. I'm just letting you know, it would be common if they went.

 

yeah im going to go exchange them. for the regular silverstar. i want them to last. i dont feel like changing them all the time. plus i payed like 44 bucks for them !

 

you guys are confusing me. the regular silverstar have the same life though??


i just exchanged for these. the guy said these were the closest to factory.. but they dont have the blueish bulb.. like my factory so im hesitant. i might just go to a different advance the guy at the last one acted like he didnt have time for this.

 

I have the Silverstars - the ones below the ultras - I guess they are the regulars and I've had them in for 3 years - and the 05s Main headlight bulbs are also the DRLs and they haven't burned out yet. I have a set of ultras that I bought a couple of years ago off of Amazon really cheap and I guess I'll save those for my 03. When I sell the 05 I will most likely put the stock bulbs back in.

 

I'm sure that Silverstars (not ultras) don't last as long either, and Sylvania is probably just covering themselves in case someone doesn't get long life out of them.

I have had over 2 years on regular Silverstars right now. Ultras have gone out in 9 months.

 

Its okay im just rebought the ultras at a diff advance auto and they had the newer ultras so i went with them
