Not yet, my shop has scales there - one for each tire - and the plan is to weigh it when all is said and done.

Power seat on a race car. Stylin.....
Have you decided what Data Recorder you are going to use? Racepak is the best. You are already in deep. May as well splurge.

GreyGhost: Deep? I don't think so - have you heard of the Mariana Trench? Anyway, as far as at the data recorder goes - we were (my builder and I) were going to address that once the electrical and instrument panel work was to begin. It's on the list of 'stuff to do'.
Racepak - will definitely look into it - seeing that most of your previous recommendations have paid off.
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well I ran Autometer when they first came out, but I know every professional car out there does Racepak. But never hurts to just walk around the pits and see who uses what. Autometer got sold, so not up on them anymore. When I was shopping for one, I ordered some info from everyone in the back of National Dragster. One day this huge book arrives from England. It was one for F1. $30K back in 1996. I was drooling. Any function you can imagine was on there, including outside, middle and inside tire temps. But reality was that Auto Meter had just come out with theirs and trusted us to give them feedback and be at events to help others, so they shipped us some spare parts too. 16 channels, but enough for an alky injected car. One other note, if you are going to run EGTs, and have your headers coated, get the bungs welded in first. Hope you are happy with the progress. HNY to you also.

GreyGhost: What we have planned is a dash along the lines that Holley offers with a RacePak incorporated. It will have leads for the sensors in the ECM - we will add sensors that the ECM does not provide and have what we have added displayed in the dash or on a separate LED screen.

When I ran I didn't watch anything. I had idiot lights (and finally Auto Meter came up with gauges that glowed red if you had a failure or overheating problem). My partner would flip the toggle switch which started it recording after I lit the first bulb, and it would record for 30 seconds. After the run we could plug in and download it into the computer program. Even though we had mechanical injection, after about 10 passes we had all 8 EGTs looking like one line. We did fuel pressure, a G meter, temps, etc. I am sure your setup will be much nicer. I have seen those dashes in Top Fuel cars. Have fun.
