Rebuilt unit for my 4T65E-HD
UNIT now has parts that are custom made aerospace/aircraft quality
not unbreakable but 800 HP MIGHT not be enough to break it again.

 

I LOVE that this is still going on. We had a few chats back in the day that I enjoyed, glad to see this is still going!

 

The only way I am ever to stop caring and working on SSV & SSV !! is if i stop breathing - these two cars are a life's long dream and I am going to take them to completion and enjoy what I can of them. . They are a dream I have had for decades and there is no going back now. SAM

 

Do you actually keep a running total on how much you've spent? I shutter to think about it, but obviously, price is out the window now. Would still be entertaining to throw the number out there when it's all over.

 

If you have read through this thread you would have picked up on the fact that my fourth gear alone took 3 months to make and just in material and machine time cost about $2,000 +/-.

These builds are not for the faint of heart and by that I mean a thin wallet, they are expensive. If you are asking do I keep my receipts, yes I do - but you can't put a $ amount on my and/or your time and knowledge which in itself saved me thousands which of course I don't have receipts for.

Remember if you buy quality you will never regret it, because only the rich can afford to buy cheaply because only they can afford to buy it again.

 

Well guys its official - another article has been written, this time of course on my current project. All Chevy Performance magazine has a 4 page in-progress article written on my car in the March issue. There is a little spiff on their website introducing you to the article . - Myself - I think I will go out and buy a few copies.
