7th Gen ('06-'07): Rear Wheel Drive build thread, It is happening..
A better guess would be June/July - it snows up here in March and early April is just as bad with cold days and cold rain. May would be perfect.

I forget what part of the country you are in. Well, you can get the dyno work done, and if the itch really hits you, load her up and head south.
There is Lapeer drag way up here not far from me. Based on what you mentioned about renting a strip for the day. I have started that research now at least bringing it up and seeing if I can get any takers. I have some time yet but it is never too early to bring up the idea. And contact the strip and see if it is even feasible. Not sure if you know of Milan. Once a very popular IHRA & NHRA. PINKS did a show there. That used to be the place to go even more so than Detroit Dragway just filed bankruptcy and closed for good. Use to run C/SM LOW 11’s with a carburated small block in a 3500# ‘69 Nova with a 4 speed and 5:88 gears. 15” Small 10” slick. Anyway got to wait til spring regardless.

Hey all! When Matt gets your Monte back to his shop I will drive up (about 70 miles) to do an extensive photo recon and send to you, with your permission, post some here. Getting all giddy for you and your one off Monte "Silver Surfer"
Yippee, I would enjoy that opportunity. I tend to be more creative with composition than a mechanic would, just point and shoot. This will be a real jewel. Need to do another side by side video of you blowing my doors off, that would be awesome. It would be a beat down I would relish, remember forever. You have to spot me 5 car lengths...

This is awesome news!!! I cannot wait to see the finished product. Will it have a complete interior in it when you get it?
The car will pretty much have a stock interior obviously with accommodations for things like the roll cage. No back Seat. But all the interior trim. Seats carpet. Etc etc. I wanted it to be as stock as possible. The interior will be the last project to do. Oh almost forgot the hump for the driveshaft it never had before. Greg your car will always outshine Whatever i put together. You don’t need 5 car lengths I could never ever beat your car and it’s looks.

All the interior trim too? That will be awesome, going to totally be getting the nod of approval from everyone. Have you entertained the idea of having the sound proof matting installed everywhere? That may go along way in reducing some road sounds. Its called Dyna-Mat plus there are other similar products. Matt could have his monkey put it in before all your carpet is in at floor pans, trunk, doors, tranny tunnel etc.

You are all go and I'm all show. You just choose to be stealthy, you like to have a "Bait Car" , bring them in and wham shut the door on em. I have no false thoughts your Monte will be the "King Tiger" build.
