Greyghost my builder tends to agree with you. I prefer analog. I do think we are going Dakota just not sure of the combination. Sort of left it up to my builder. He’s the youngster and knows more about that stuff than I. He will give me some options and I will pick something.

Wow, that looks absolutely terrible. Reminds me of the 80s / early 90s cars when numeric readouts were all the rage. Even the DRIVE wording looks like a 70s calculator.
Numeric readouts for speedo / tach are not the way to go for something with this much power - the numbers change too quickly for the brain to process. I get they've got the bars up top, but they're tiny and the speedo stops at 80, lol.
There's a lot better options out there today for a high tech dash - Autometer has the invision and the comp dash (both full digital screens) or even a Racepak would be preferable for someone who was dead set on numeric values over a traditional gauge as its got a good size tach bar and lights.
Although with all the choices for nice traditional needle gauges (electrical feed signal), I think thats still a good option. A good fabricator can mount a set of them up to look every bit as nice as an OEM cluster.

Yeah, all top fuel cars use Racepak, but I sympathize with you. The main thing I want in a guage is a warning system. I believe Autometer has a feature where the gauge turns red if the numbers aren't nominal, like temp, etc. And honestly, most drivers never look at gauges when racing. Things happen too fast. Most all modern race cars have so much electronics on them you don't need to look. When getting ready to make a pass I simply scanned them to make sure it all looked right, then never gave them a second look. Getting in the water, doing your burnout, getting back to your tracks, tightening belts, staging keep you pretty busy.

I agree. In both my vette and monte the only thing I keep an eye on is the color of the wideband gauge at WOT. Depending on the reading, it'll turn red if you're too far to either end of the spectrum. I mounted the wideband closest to the steering wheel on both cars so I can always see what color it is without having to take my eyes off the road to look at it.
I just saw that numeric readout on the Dakota dash and toguht about the HUD in my vette which is also numeric for speed. That thing looks like a slot machine spinning even on a half throttle on-ramp rip. I can't imagine what it would be like driving a car with this much power with numeric readout gauges even on the street.
Okay guys now I am not good at this and I am sure some one knows how to guide me. I just got Greg’s jump drive. How do I export the pictures from the jump drive to the phone so I can post them on this site. You have to tell me what kind of cable and end fittings I have to use. My charging cable doesn’t have a fitting on either end that will work. Once I have the correct cable and fittings hopefully I can figure it out from there. Thanks. I have an I-phone 8. And no computer currently.

Boy, what you need to do is watch a You Tube video. Type in this "How to transfer pictures from USB drive to photos on Iphone." Viewed a couple, but I'm not for some reason not able to post a link. Also, if you dont like the pics I deny any involvement, if you love them, it was me. Best of luck
