Default Missing door trim endcap

Driver’s side door is missing a piece a piece of trim that that I’m calling an endcap. It’s in front of the mirror where the side and bottom of the window meet.

Guessing this is a discontinued piece and I’ll need to attain it from a vehicle in a junk yard. My question is HOW?

Is this something that was held on by glue or is there some sort of clamp behind it holding it on?

Top and middle pics of missing piece. Bottom photo of same piece on passenger door.
Top and bottom are pics of missing piece. Middle is photo of same piece on passenger door.

I believe it was plastic welded/heat staked/plastic rivetted to that long piece of trim. If you still have the piece you might be best finding a way to glue it on.

I don’t have. Not even sure how long it has been missing.

Then sadly it is a junk yard trip to find a replacement (and might as well see if you can find a full replacement trim piece).

To the junk yard I’ll go!
I appreciate your input.
