Default Idea's for Front & Rear Lower Bumper Extensions

Hey everyone, so I just bought my new Monte Carlo and I have been thinking about some ideas about the charcoal plastic area on the front and rear lower bumper extensions on the 2006-2007 Monte's. My thought is to sand it down and paint it Silver. So I have been searching online and I found a picture from topseed.com with a Black Monte with it painted silver. Picture Attached.

Have any of you done this and if so can you post some pictures?

What do You all think? Like or Dislike ?

Thanks

I like the idea behind it but honestly I bump that thing all the time on random stuff I'd have it scratched all the time,, my buddy has a 2006 Malibu SS and stock they dont have a lip just a painted bumper and he has a huge scratch on his. I'd say if you never bump it then by all mean do it! but many places with steep driveways scrape that piece for me.

I'm also planning on painting my lower trim, but in my case white. It's going to look cool but I'm sure it'll all be scratched up with all of the pot holes and speed bumps around here.

If it came black I would paint it black again.

I say paint them the same color as your cars main body. Black and other colors tend to make your car look higher as the main color stops and the painted ground effects arrest the main color and when you stand back and look at it, it's kind of like a trick of the eye, your car looks higher from the ground. Mine ground effects used to be silver, now all they and the car are all red and the car seems to really hug the ground.
