Default How do I line up body

I just put my 1980 Monte body on the frame and am looking for a way to line it all up. Im useing new Energy Suspenion body mounts and hardware. The body fits great but not sure how to get it dead on. I dont have the radiator support on yet or the fenders or hood. Should them parts be on? This is my first build and I dont have much experience so if anyone has any Ideas please let me know.

A good start would be to center the frame under the car. You need to find a location that is the same on both sides to use as a reference point to measure from. Usually the rocker panel pinch welds are a good place to use. Maybe measure from the pinch welds to the frame right by the body mounts. Once body is centered on the frame, put your doors on and line them up to the rocker and the quarter panels. Then put your rad support on then the fenders and line them up with the door. Once they are lined up, put the hood on and line the hood and fenders up so you have a nice even gap all the way around the hood. Try and keep from moving the fenders front to back so you dont mess with the fender to door gap. Just move them in and out to get the gap around the hood nice. It will take alot of tweaking to get everything lined up right so dont worry if everything doesnt fit right away.
