Guess what works great for yellow headlights!?
...glass stove top cleaner!
my driver's headlight had a light yellow haze to it, and since it was overcast and nice out, i detailed my whole car too. i couldn't find my 3m rubbing compound and i used up all my 3m tirzact pads. thinking wwmd (what would macgyver do) i found this bottle of glass stove cleaner. i thought if it's good enough for glass, it should be good for plastic too.
and work it did! it's now crystal clear again. i hand rubbed it on/off 3 times then put a coat of wax on to seal it. only took about 5 minutes to do. and to think, some places charge $40 to polish your headlights.

I've heard of people using that and mixing it with tire shine to remove light scratches from a windshield seems odd to me, but ive never had to try it so i have no clue if it works or not.
