WHAT CODE READER WORKS?

WHAT CODE READER WORKS?
I have a 95 Z34 with 115000 miles on it. My port for the code reader is not the new one with 16 ports, but it is the old one with 12 ports. Mine only has 2 wires going into it. I have not been able to find a code reader to work on this car. The guy at autozone told me to jump the two wires. I bought the Haynes manual that says this can be done on some models but not all. I tried it and it did not work for me. The manual says to jump connection A with B. On my port the only 2 wires are at port A and port M ( which says it is serial data in the wiring diagram).
I am told the new OBD2 units will not work with this as well as the one I bought at OReilly( i know this one does not work).
Can anyone please help me, I need to be able to read my own codes. I will even buy off the internet if you guys can show me where to go.

RE: WHAT CODE READER WORKS?
Hello Chris, sorry it's taken A while to get back to ya... I use Hypertech to read/clear my codes but that would be one hell of an expensive code reader.
I am pretty sure your car is on OBD I.. Try one of these..
