Driver's side door won't lock
#2
Is your key in the ignition when you try to lock it? If it is, the door will lock and then just unlock. Thats if you have a 2000-2007 monte carlo

Nope, my key is out of the ignition and I can't manually lock it. It must be the latch or something. I pulled my door panel off and tried fiddling with it, but it didn't do any good. Maybe I'll try tomorrow. Any other suggestions?

Is the power lock solenoid still mounted inside the door. I changed a rear power lock solenoid once with a broken mount and that door wouldn't lock or unlock. It was a rear door tho so it didn't have a keyhole. it's worth a shot.

It seemed like all the rods were connected. When I use keyless, it unlocks, but doesn't lock back.
By the way, I also have a JG Monte Carlo

I'm having a problem with the passenger side. The power lock button on the passenger side will lock the drivers side door, the anti theft is working but the passenger side will not lock unless I manually lock or unlock it. Since the button works I'm thinking the actuator is functioning ( I hear the "SWOOSH" sound) but maybe? the connector? is broken or has fallen off? Did you resolve your issue?

I would reccomend putting some non liquid graphite in the key slot and try to use the key to get it to lock and unlock manually.and see if that doesnt resolve your issue.... I wouldnt recommend useing any WD40...cause if leaks down the outside of the door..it wil eat away your paint....
