Honestly, that's not what I meant by my post...I meant it more to say "Hey you don't need millions or a completely custom monte to win and can even beat out other montes even with a stock ls"

After the winner was announced not one of the owners complained or even cared, they were happy the person one and said if the judges felt he deserved it, then...he deserved it...

Personally, I felt it was not right that MCF member (Brad) who owns a beautiful custom red SS Pace car did not win one single thing at the Monte Nats. This guy has spent a lot of time & energy making his Monte stand out. Yes I realize that most who love and appreciate their Montes put a lot of themselves in to their cars. But this Pace car is above mark. It really deserved to be recongized.

Mann I don't think i'll ever take my monte to finals if you monte got picked apart that much lol. I will say that once the lil weights are taken off of the wheels they will leave a mark. I've had mine off for a couple months now & I still can't get it off =( I've buffed the wheels & all but no luck =( I may try to wet sand it off but I'm afraid of scratching the wheels worse or taking off the clear coat

Yeah, now I know I def need to get these outside wheel weights off asap and see how much the guy in town will charge to fix the wheels, after I pay someone to put new weights where they won't be seen, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Money, money, money.....

Yeah, but unless you can manage to refinish your wheels finding someone who can fix the finish on your wheels isn't easy. Unless any body shop can? And body shops aren't cheap.

The guy here specializes in refinishing/reconditioning high end car wheels for dealerships and personal like Mercedes, Jaguar, etc. I know it will be expensive.

Default Car shows

Ok i show mine all the time....each show is diff. And different judges.no 2 are the same///ive seen them look for any alterations...and deduct for not being orig.
Ive got an o4 dale jr...victory red.....black stripes on the sides.
Number 1107 out of 2883.

I drive it all the time.....yes they would deduct for non orig. RS A S

goodyear eagles.....and wheel damage from weights......there is no easy fix for that.....either replace;;or sand blast and refinish.
Big bux...

PainT dings are deducted also.......as is any add ons/////non stock.

Car must be original show room condition........sorry.......ive got 45k on mine.third owner...so im constantly fixing small stuff....

Damn rubber bumpers.....wheel coatings.....dings...scratches.....

Its a tough world.....and the competition is tougher........

Ive gotten a couple trophys,,,but not in any tough competition...

I just show it......if i win ok if not ok.......

That reminds me of a local show I've attended all but one of their 15 shows.

(it had rained the night before. 5 people still showed up the next day and waited over 2 hrs only to be told the show was cancelled and re-scheduled for the following weekend. I had other plans and couldn't come back)

I've taken almost every car I own to this show and NEVER placed there. And they give out over 50 awards.

I take the '86 Monte to this show. I get the very first award.

Two years ago we buy the '03 Pace car and take it to this local show. It get's TWO awards.

Last year we take the Pace car again. It get's the People's Choice award.

Makes no sense?
