I was going to try and fit that in my original post, but since I want to keep the badges it didn't really work. I want to keep the badges because the red SS on a black car is a great accent, it just pops. The only thing i see being a problem with only putting the shield and SS badges back on is that I think the SS badges would look lonely.
I figured it would be a lot of work, but i didn't expect it to be that much work... Can I get the 3m tape at staples or something, or is it special autobody tape?

Chibi, you seem very well informed on a lot of things, I always read your posts (as long as the topic seems interesting to me)

 

Thanks All I do is CONSTANTLY read about our cars, GTPs, Impalas, Regals... etc. Plus I have had the same questions that everyone else has and researched tons, so I can just blurt anything out easily haha.

IMO You should really just pop on e-bay and take a look. You WILL find badges and most of them will already have the mounting tape on it. 3M can be found at any automotive store, but for the price of buying the tape + the time it will take to cut it all out perfect... Just get new badges haha

 

It does look odd IMO, However, FYI: the 2004 SS only had SS on the sides, they had Monte Carlo on the deck lid but they weren't on the sides
