Default taking badges off

I'm thinking about taking off all the badges on my car except the rear Chevy bowtie. I have different types though. I have 3 badges that all say "Limited Edition Monte Carlo" The limited edition is a regular sticker. The monte carlo is a 3-D word thing with foam behind it. The car is 4 years old and I am wondering if there will be paint fade behind the decals? Also will there be any residue??

I think the clean de-badged look is in.....

Paint fade could be an issue if it has not been waxed on a regular basis or has been sitting in the sun alot. The only way to know is to pull one off.

they're shouldn't be any paint fade in that little bit of time, but if there is it will be gone after the first couple of months...

most of what people see is a little bit of the old glue still there and after you wash the car a few times after all the stuff should be gone...you might want to use a little bit of paint thinner to get everything off, works really well.

i can't see they're being any noticable fade there though

Well i just took the back badges off, and there was zero paint fade. I used a little lighter fluid to get the sticky stuff off. It looks alot better than it used to.

Ya ghosted looks better than mine did, but I think the clean look of them completly off is even better. And it sometimes leaves people guessing what kind of car you have.

I have my first very own internet STALKER.......

I wondered what mine would look like without the badges. I kind of like the idea of ghosted badges as mentioned by Wiz kidd...

Chop please????
