My mom called GMC cause a dumptruck had a rock fly and hit the windsheild of my 2004 monte carlo ss dale jr and it cracked. So were going to get it fixed but there is that grey sticker on the top that says monte Carlo. We just gmc to see how much and they said 400$ cause its a limited edition sticker? Are you kidding me? If i known everything for this car cost alot of money I would have never got it! Side skirt costing me alot (1,400 just for the part!). Why is everything so much money?

 

Because you want GM to deal with making you vinyl.

You can go to any local vinyl shop and get it made and installed for probably less than $50. Or you can even pick one up off of eBay for about $20

Dealer mark-up is a big thing, especially on parts like this.

 

Typical GM screw over, just go on ebay & order one for $20 thats what i done

Sounds right for gm part they want $300 for just the Intimidator badges on my trunk and sides $900+ after tax more than doubling my estimate for a re-spray of the car

 

Man, that is high. I guess I'm lucky for buying one of these sticker from someone on this forum that was selling them for around $35 right after I bought my car in Dec. 2009. I now wish I had bought more than one.

Sounds like dealer prices with there 300% mark ups on all the stuff they sell .i think that the dealer makes more off parts then the sells on the cars really .. Cause of warranty work too.. It's crazy .. Some one here will point you in right direction ..I LOVE MONTE CARLO FORUM FAMILY THEY ARE GREATT HELP!!! They'll point you the right way.. That sticker can be make by any local shop for probably less than 100 and that's installed too

 

welp we took it to the body shop and insurance cover it cause we got a deductible and there going to try to get the sticker off
