I just see cracked paint, you can sand it down good and possibly find some rattle can paint to match pretty well, it won't look like new but you can get it decent. then just clear over it and buff it out well.

If the bumper itself is crack you should be able to run to a yard and get one for a decent price, but paint is what's going to run the bill up.

Let us know if the bumper itself is cracked or if the paint is, that's going to determine what you should do next.

But in order to replace the whole cover, it HAS to be a Monte Carlo SS right? I just don't see the odds of running around all over town and them having an 2000 SS bumper magically laying around in a heap. It just sounds like a long shot to me. Correct me if I'm wrong!

It does have a crack though, on the upper part of the bumper, but it was already like that. For some reason this paint scratch bothers me more haha

It only had to be a bumper from an SS if you had the high-sport kit. Since you don't, it doesn't matter.

^this.

an LS or SS bumper will work and if it's an 05 that you find the bumper from, an LT bumper will work also.

montes are VERY common in junkyards, I would just make your friend try and find you one, since he did the damage, or at least that would make sense to me.

Finding a bumper in that color though, that would be pretty close to impossible lol it's not an overly common color, around me at least.

Yay, a ray of Hope! Okay, I will find a list of junk people and make some phone calls. No, my best friend and I live (and starve) together so I will just fix it and learn about cars for the future, it is not a big deal. Plus my parents crushed her side view mirror a few years back and never replaced it like they promised so we are even. I will just find a junk bumper and have it painted if I can't sand it paint it myself =)

^ Hi `Ember,
Will your friend help you with the cost ?
If, not please don't let her drive again or attempt to park

I suggest going to a local auto shop to get their advice & an estimate on a repair. I'm sure with your background & college major that you could tell if they are being truthful.

I'm sure that with your blessed beauty that you could make some legal $'s working @ a local car show posing with the owners to highlight their vehicle (just a suggestion).

Wish you good luck on getting it fixed, but I'm sure that you will find a way...4-Sure
Good luck @ college & in life...Peace/Out from `Space
